从贞元省试诗看中唐科举录取的公正性

摘要

唐省试诗中,德宗贞元年间留下的最多,有77首。这些诗,大都境界浑融,情感表达真实自然,从中可见贞元科举录取是知贡举者综合考察诗人的创作技巧、政治素质、人品性情等后的审慎决定。唐人＂恶诗皆得官,好诗空抱山＂的抱怨,唐笔记中所说的科举录取荒诞、偶然等与事实真相之间差距较大。至少在中唐,科举录取是＂多公而审＂的。%Of the existing poems for the Triennial Provincial Imperial Examination,most of them,77 in number,are from the Zhenyuan Period in the reign of Emperor Dezong.Many of these poems are lofty in thought and natural in expression.This justifies the Imperial Examination in that period in that it concentrated on the examination of the writing skills,political qualities and personality of the examinees.This article concludes that some of the comments by writers of the Tang on the injustice of the examination are irrational and that the imperial examination is in most cases just,at least in the Mid-Tang Dynasty.
