360全景视频渲染与压缩方法探索

     

摘要

全景视频是使用具备360度拍摄功能的摄像机经过录制和拼接而成的视频.在观看全景视频的时候,观众能够使用平移/放大/旋转等方式选择任意的角度去欣赏全景视频.在全景视频领域,为了达到更佳的用户体验,基本上4K的分辨率是最低的要求.同时,当前消费市场上的全景视频拍摄设备也已经基本上能够提供4K甚至于8K分辨率的视频图像,这就意味着,要在线流畅地传输经过H.264/H.265编码的比特率在50MB的4K全景视频,显示终端每个小时就需要下载接近22GB的数据量.而如果是3D全景视频的话,这个数字要变成2倍-44GB,这对于目前的在线视频播放技术是一个很大的挑战.我们在本文中学习、借鉴、研究了几种国际上对全景视频图像数据处理方式,使用更为高效的立方体布局(Cube Layout)方式对视频数据进行重新编码,有效减少视频数据大小,进而达到减少视频数据量传输的目的.实验结果表明除了能够使用平铺布局(Equirectangular Layout)方式对全景视频进行渲染,还能够使用立方体编码方式对全景视频重新编码,使得编码后的视频大小比原始视频的大小减少25%左右.%A Panoramic Video is created with a camera system that records all 360 degrees of a scene simultaneously.Viewers can pan/zoom/rotate a Panoramic Video's perspective to watch it in different angles.In the past several years,many IT companies and manufacturing companies attempted to achieve traction in this filed.This article has made some positive studies to explore on compression performance of the panoramic immersive video.When learning advanced technologies from abroad,we want to strengthen our future competitiveness of the Panoramic video and try to make it into popularity.More and more panoramic cameras can already filmed 4K video or higher definition video.And all panoramic video files should be at least 4K or higher,which means,if a 4K panoramic video transferring at 50Mb on H.264/H.265 codecs,display terminal would download 22GB of data per hour.and panoramic Stereo video will download twice as 44GB of data per hour.It has lots of technical challenges to overcome and conquer.In this article,We have studied on several data processing modes of panoramic video,and use cube remap panoramic image with redundant information to reduce the amount of data per hour when transferring.The experimental results show that we can make a panoramic video compression to reduce about 25% of the original.
