Henan is a province abundant with diverse forms of folk art and folk culture .As one of the major cradles of the Central Plains civilization , Henan has not only witnessed the vicissitudes of dynastic succession and changes but also fostered a raft of artworks distinctive of the times and localities .Much to our relief , these traditional art-works have sustained till now against the passage of time , many of which are still influencing people ’ s lives with great vigor and vitality .Highly representative of these artworks are the handicrafts of ‘Nigugu ’ in Xunxian County and ‘Ninigou’ in Huaiyang County , both of which , though different in cultural background , geographical circum-stance and historical origin, share many similarities in raw material, color, and shape.In view of the similarities and differences between the two , this paper aims to explore the nuances of them in artistic expression to reveal the underlying cultural connotations that they carry .%河南省是一个民间艺术文化大省，其民间艺术品种类繁多，样式各异。河南作为中原传统文化的主要发源地之一，从古至今经历了无数次的时代变迁，朝代更替，同时也孕育出许许多多的具有不同时期风格特点的，体现不同文化内涵的艺术品。这些艺术品并没有随着时间的推移消失掉，而是以特有的形式，以及顽强的生命力植根于广大人民群众的生活中，以民间艺术品的形式发扬光大，并延续至今。其中浚县“泥咕咕”和淮阳“泥泥狗”都属于河南民间艺术品中极具代表性的作品，由于二者的文化背景、地理环境和历史渊源各不相同，却在使用的材质、颜色、形态上有很多相似之处，这些相似点与不同点代表着其背后的民间文化，我们将针对二者不同的艺术表现形式来对比，同时进行深入的研究和探讨。
