Objective:To detect the expression of hypoxia inducible factor - la ( HIF - la )in pancreatic carcinoma and investigate the relationship with clinicopathologic features and prognosis of pancreatic carcinoma. Methods: Immunohistochemistry staining was used to detect expression of HIF - 1α in 48 cases of pancreatic carcinomas and 5 cases of normal pancreases tissues. The relationship and clinical significance of HIF - lα expression in pancreatic cancer were analyzed. Results: The positivity rate of HIF - lα in pancreatic carcinomas was 52. 1%( 25/48 ). No HIF - lα expression was detected in 5 cases of normal pancreases tissues. The positivity rate of HIF - la in pancreatic carcinomas was significantly higher than that in normal pancreases tissues ( P < 0.01 ). HIF - la protein expression was closely correlated with tumor size ( P = 0. 015 )and TNM stage( P = 0.021 ), and was negative correlated with prognosis( 10. 4% vs 4. 0% , P = 0.027 ), rather than position and pathological grading. Conclusion: High expression of HIF - la plays a considerable role in development of pancreatic carcinoma. HIF - la may be a useful marker for evaluating prognosis in pancreatic cancer.%目的:探讨缺氧诱导因子(HIF-1α)在胰腺癌组织中的表达及其临床意义.方法:应用免疫组化技术检测 HIF-1α蛋白在48例胰腺癌组织和5例正常胰腺组织中的表达情况,并分析其与临床病理因素及预后之间的关系.结果:HIF-1α蛋白在48例胰腺癌组织中的阳性表达率为 52.1%(25/48),而在5例正常胰腺组织中均未见表达,两者间差异有统计学意义(P<0.01).HIF-1α表达与肿瘤体积 (P=0.015)及TNM分期呈正相关(P=0.021),与预后呈负相关(10.4% vs 4.0%,P=0.027);而 与胰腺癌的部位、病理分级等无关(P>0.05).结论:HIF-1α在胰腺癌的发生发展过程中起着重要作用,可作为判断胰腺癌预后的有用指标.
