简·奥斯汀笔下的男性形象分析

摘要

British writer Jane Austen created several heroes of different characteristics in her six novels .Up to date, the Austen studies in China mainly focus on Austen ’ s opinion about marriage , love and women whereas Aus-ten ’ s heroes are hardly mentioned .This article tries to reveal the characteristics of Jane Austen ’ s heroes by analy-zing the images of male characters in her works through aspects of nobility , the spirit of chivalry , the essence of gentlemen, the puritan tradition and dandyism .%英国作家简·奥斯汀在她的六部小说中塑造了许多性格不同的男性，迄今为止，国内的奥斯汀研究多涉及奥斯汀的婚姻观、爱情观与女性观，而对奥斯汀笔下的男性探究较少。论文试图从贵族主义、骑士精神、绅士特质、清教传统、纨绔主义角度分析奥斯汀作品中男性形象的渊源，揭示作家眼中同时代的英国男性的特点。
