It is the comprehension and requirement by politician Mao Zedong on two fundamental problems in literature and art. Mao Zedong stood in the height of the national liberation thinking this question. He absorbed and reflected many writers' opinions. Speech on Literature and Art Forum in Yah An has had a huge influence on modern and contemporary literature of China. It is an important entry point for us to understand the modern and contemporary literature of China. 70 years can be divided into two stages. The first forty years was the "Speech era" of literature, while the next 30 years was the "post-Speech era" of literature. Both the creation of writers and the development of literature were profoundly different in the two different era--the Speech was present or absent. The experiences and lessons are worth of rethinking seriously.
