运用后殖民语境下的性别权利关系，探究了《野草在歌唱》这部小说中女主人公玛丽悲惨又无奈的人生。玛丽既是主体，又是他者，处在这样的矛盾对立中，她丧失了话语权，体现了女性话语断层。%The gender-power relations , in the post-colonialism context , offer us a further explanation on the heroine Mary ’ s miserable and hopeless life in The Grass Is Singing .Mary is both the Self and the Other , which reveals her ambivalent situation and makes her lose feminine discourse .
