论圣经对西方文学的影响

摘要

圣经对西方文学的影响无处不在。中世纪以前的西方文学是基督教文学，其产生于公元1~2世纪左右，最具代表性的作品就是《圣经》，西方文学藉引用圣经宣扬基督教。圣经故事被应用来教育，引导大众。至欧洲宗教改革和文艺复兴时期，圣经中的人物及其思想以各种形式被运用到文学作品中，激起读者共鸣，引发百花齐放的思想。本文主要探讨圣经的主题思想对西方文学--小说的影响。作者对海明威，陀思妥耶夫斯基，列夫托尔斯泰和霍桑的主要作品做了简要的分析，《圣经》对西方小说的主题思想产生了巨大的影响，对西方小说写作发展具有引导作用。%The influence of the bible on western literature is everywhere. The western literature is Christian literature before the middle ages, it produced in 1-2 century A.D. and its representative works is the Bible. People preached Christianity by quoting the Bible in Western literature, educating and guiding people’s life. To Europe the reformation and the Renaissance, the characters in the Bible and its thought has been applied to literary works in all forms, arousing readers’ resonance. This paper mainly discusses the influence of the Bible on western literature---the novels. The author made a brief analysis some major works of Hemingway, Dostoevsky, Leo Tolstoy and Hawthorne. The theme of the Bible has a great influence to the western novel thought and has a guiding role for the development of the western novel writing.The bible in western literature novel.
