The effective mass of the magnetop olaron in a slab of polar crystal within constant magnetic fields, which is a we ak coupling of electron-bulk longitudinal optical (LO) phonons and strong coupl ing of electron-surface optical (SO) phonons, was discussed by using Tokuda's i mproved linear combination operator and the Lagrange multiplier and the variatio nal method. The effective mass of the magnetopolaron was obtained as a function of the slab thickness and the magnetic fields. Numerical calculations for KC1 po lar crystal slab show that the effective mass of the magnetopolaron first decrea ses and then increases, finally tends to a stable value with increasing slab thi ckness, and increases with increasing magnetic fields.%采用Tokuda改进的线性组合算符、Lagrange乘子和变 分法,讨论了磁场中极性晶体膜内电子-表面光学(SO)声子强耦合和电子-体纵光学(LO)声 子弱耦合磁极化子的有效质量,得出了磁极化子的有效质量随膜厚和磁场变化的规律,对KC1 极性晶体膜进行了数值计算,结果表明磁极化子的有效质量随膜厚的增加而先减小后增加,最 后趋于一个稳定值,随磁场的增加而增加.
