Headwear had already appeared before Song Dynasty as a approach for female to express their affection. With the popularizing of knowledge and the development of culture, education and social economy and politics in Song Dynasty, the expressing function of female headwear became more obvious. First, it could show wearer's feelings. Second, it could appeal the female's emotion when they communicated with others. Third, it also could be used as an emotional keepsake.%头饰作为女性表达感情的途径在宋代之前已经出现。随着知识文化的普及、教育水平的提高以及社会政治经济文化的不断发展，宋代女性头饰的传情功能相较以前更加明显。它可以传递女性自我的情愫；可以传达女性与他人互动的情感；还可以作为对人或对己的情感信物传达美好记忆。
