In the course of the Chinese language′s development, the character "Man"has gone through an obvious diachronic change in its form, pronunciation, and meaning."Man"is usually used as an adverb of degree in Chinese dialect .There is a tendency that this use of "Man"will become fixed in the basic vocabulary of the modern Chinese common speech .%　　在语言发展过程中，“蛮”字的词义有明显的历时变化。“蛮”字在方言中常用作程度副词，这一用法有在现代汉语普通话基本词汇中固定下来的趋势。
