In recent years, the development of the local economy , improvement of people's life quality and changing of people's values in the Dai communities have led to drastic changes of Dai people's clothing. The majors ways to inherit the costume culture of Dai people may include giving play to the leading role of the government, arousing the cultural self-consciousnesses of Dai people, establishing a museum of Dai people's costumes and propelling the inheriting of Dai people's costumes in real life.
