Generals of the Yang Family is a deductive novel which is formed after the famous general Yang Ye has gone over to Song and tried to resistance Khitan Cavalry's constantly intrusion along the Song's frontier and faithful defended Northern Song Dynasty as its historical clues and added with the folk legend .Later it became variety plays by artistic working and is very pop-ular among the people .However ,it has great practical significance ,through this novel ,explore the frontier national relation-ship in Liao and Song dynasties ,reveal the characteristics of this history ,promote General of the Yang Family's loyal and patri-otic national spirit ,establish correct national sentiment and heritage the excellent culture .%《杨家将》是一部由北汉名将杨业一门投宋后，竭力抵抗契丹铁骑在宋边疆的不断侵扰，忠心捍卫北宋王朝为历史线索，加入民间传说、演绎形成的一部小说。后来又经艺术加工而成为各种剧本，在百姓中间传唱不绝，妇孺皆知。通过这部演义小说，探究辽宋时期的边疆民族关系，揭示这段历史的特征，弘扬杨家将忠勇、爱国的民族精神，树立正确的民族观念，传承优秀的文化具有重要的现实意义。
