一维含缺陷光子晶体异质结构的电磁传输性质

     

摘要

利用传输矩阵方法研究了一维含有缺陷的光子晶体异质结构的电磁传输性质.结果表明,由两种正常材料组成的一维光子晶体异质结构,由于光子局域特性,会在光子带隙内出现缺陷模.当在此异质结构界面引入一种正常材料作为缺陷层时,缺陷模的频率随着缺陷层厚度的增加向低频移动;缺陷模的电磁场在光子晶体异质结构界面和缺陷处具有很强的局域性.而当引入一磁单负材料作为缺陷时,发现此种缺陷型异质结构会出现"双模特性",两缺陷模的频率及频率间隔可以通过改变负磁导率材料缺陷层的厚度来调节,而两缺陷模的电场在光子晶体与单负材料的界面分别出现很强局域特性.这些缺陷模性质将在可调的滤波器中具有潜在的应用价值.%The electromagnetic transmission properties of one - dimensional defective photonic crystals hetero8tructures are investigated by transfer matrix method. The results show that the photonic crystals heterostructure possesses a defect mode due to the confinement effect of photonic barriers. When a normal material is introduced in the photonic crystals heterostructure, the defect mode can be tuned, whose frequency decreases with the thicknesa of the defect layer, and the electricmagnetic field is strongly localized in the defect. When the defect is an mu - negative material, the defective photonic crystals heterostructure possesses double defect modes, and the frequency and interval of the two modes can be tuned by changing the thickness of the defect layer. At the defect frequency, the electric fields are strongly localized on the interface of mu - negative material and the photonic crystals. The characteristics of such heterostructur will have potential application value in tunable filter.
