Tangshan earthquake of 1976 happened in a city for the ifrst time in China and the extent of the damage was extremely rare, causing a large number of the wounded. In the serious disaster situation, treating and arranging the wounded to the utmost extent was an urgent and arduous task. The National Headquarter for Earthquake Resistance and Disaster Relief mobilized all forces to rescue, during this period, medical assistance was fuliflled throughout the entire process.
