To protect the independence and dignity of the university, the medieval universities began the games with them. The medieval universities faced the hostile forces bravely and used of the contradictions that be-tween the church, royalty and the municipal authority to seek the space and opportunities for their existence. From the multilateral game process, the medieval universities got the residence right, striking right, migration right, ex-emption right and the right to issue a teaching license independently and so on. The privilege laid a solid foundation for the university as a unique social institution of thousands of years and has continued to influence today’ s univer-sities of the world.
