This paper analyses the sino￣foreign cooperation in running schools of Guangdong higher education and finds that Guangdong doesn’ t take the initiative to cooperate with neighboring countries and the size of sino￣foreign cooperation in running school in Guangdong is small comparing with other areas. The cooperation focuses on the education with record and without record and the running pattern is not diversified. This paper suggests that higher education institute cooperation should match with the economic development model and talent demand model which can reflect the capability of the higher education institute for serving the society. In this paper, the cooperative pattern and the direction for developing are discussed.%相对于国内其他教育强省(或区域)而言，广东高校的中外合作办学整体以学历教育及非学历教育的项目为主。不仅规模偏小，专业设置雷同，而且合作对象、合作层次和合作模式比较单一。要促进广东高等教育中外合作办学的发展，首先必须加强学科优势互补、发挥地区优势的特点，实现高等教育的中外合作办学与区域的经济发展模式和人才需求模式相匹配的目标。同时，在合作层次上通过实现多元化发展来满足不同层次学生的需求。最后，区分各类不同办学模式的特点，从简单易行的模式入手，在满足市场需求的前提下，做大做强，真正实现优势互补的中外高校战略联盟。
