The intensive utilization of urban land in Gansu Province was evaluated with the comprehensive method. The results showed that; there was no city in the intensive utilization level in Gansu Province, only Jiayuguan was the city at general intensive level(0. 67) ,and Lanzhou and Jinchang were the cities that appropriately had been intensively utilized,Tianshui,Zhangye,Jiuquan,Qingyang at low intensive utilization level,and Pingliang,Gannan,Longnan,Dingxi,Linxia,Wuwei,Baiying at extensive utilization level respectively. The average level of comprehensive evaluation of urban land intensive utilization in Gansu was 0. 27,which was at a low level in the whole country,reflecting that the potentiality of urban land's intensive utilization of the province may be larger. The value of comprehensive evaluation showed a clear downward trend from the west to the east. In general, the value of comprehensive evaluation was lower in the east region, indicating its slower development. On the basis above,some measures for promoting intensive utilization of urban land in Gansu Province are analyzed in this paper.%运用层次分析法和熵权法对甘肃省14个城市土地集约利用程度进行了评价.结果表明:甘肃省没有土地集约利用级别的城市,嘉峪关土地集约综合评价值最高,达0.67,为一般集约的城市,适度利用的城市为兰州(0.58)和金昌(0.47),低度利用的城市为天水(0.25)、张掖(0.22)、酒泉(0.23)、庆阳(0.30),粗放利用的城市为平凉(0.19)、甘南(0.11)、陇南(0.14)、定西(0.10)、临夏(0.10)、武威(0.18)、白银(0.18);甘肃省城市土地集约利用的平均水平为0.27,处于全国低下水平,城市土地集约利用的潜力很大.自西向东,甘肃省城市土地集约利用综合评价值变小,呈明显的下降趋势.总的来说,河东地区发展比较缓慢,综合评价值总体较低.
