With the rapidly increasing number of large-scale and complex projects,the complexity of the project is increasing accordingly. The research on the project complexity is ongoing,which consolidates the complexity theory and enriches the complexity practice. Through analyzing and summarizing the domestic and international project complexity research,first,the source of the project complexity is identified as diversity,interdependence,dynamics,and uncertainty stemming from the connotation of the project complexity. Secondly,in this paper the evaluation of the project complexity is elaborated based on organization,technic, environment,and goal. Thirdly,from the perspective of the management technology,organization management and integration management,complex engineering project management is generalized and concluded. Finally,it can be concluded that the mechanism of the project complexity is at the exploring period,and research results have not been applied to practical experience. Therefore,the lack of substantial feedback and improvement have weakened the practicality.%随着大型复杂项目数量快速增加,项目复杂程度日益提高,目前,已经积累了一定的项目复杂性理论研究和实践经验.通过对国内外项目复杂性相关研究的梳理和分析,基于项目复杂性的内涵,分析项目复杂性主要来源于项目的多样性、相关性、动态性、不确定性4个方面,从组织、技术、环境、目标领域,将项目复杂性归纳为4个评测方面,从管理技术、组织管理、集成管理3个角度对复杂工程项目管理进行归纳和分析.得出现有研究缺乏针对项目复杂性产生机制的研究,大部分研究成果并没有得到实践的有效检验,因此研究没有得到实质性的反馈及改进,使得项目复杂性管理的研究缺乏实用性.
