Objective To explore the effects of comprehensive nursing interven-tion on quality of life of senile dementia patients .Methods A total of 100 senile dementia patients were randomly divided into two groups of 50 ones each ,both groups received geriatric routine treatment and nursing ,research group was plus comprehensive nursing intervention for 5 months . Nursing intervention results were assessed with the Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE) and Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL) .Results At the end of 5-month intervention the total score of the MMSE was significantly higher (P<0 .01) and that of the ADL lower (P<0 .01) in research than control group . Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention on the basis of drug treatment could improve viability and quality of life of senile dementia patients more significantly compared with single drug treatment .%目的：探讨综合护理干预对老年痴呆患者生活质量的影响。方法将100例老年痴呆患者随机分为两组，每组50例。两组均接受老年科常规治疗及护理，研究组在此基础上联合综合护理干预，观察5个月。采用简易精神状态检查量表和日常生活能力量表评定护理干预效果。结果干预5个月末研究组简易精神状态检查量表总分显著高于对照组（P＜0．01），日常生活能力量表总分显著低于对照组（P＜0．01）。结论对老年痴呆患者在药物治疗基础上予以综合护理干预能提高其生活能力和生活质量，优于单用药物治疗。
