Objective To study the influence on renal function in renal transplantation with donor kidney from parents. Methods Eighty six recipients received renal transplant from parents before December,2009 were examined with Panel reactive antibody ( PRA ) and serum levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen in December 2012, and patients received renal donation from offspring as controls. Results The function of renal transplant was normal in 42 recipients ( 42/86, or 48. 84% ). The function of transplanted kidney was abnormal in remaining 44 recipients( 44/ 86, 51. 16% ). Thirty eight patients received kidneys from father, among them 22 showed normal renal function, and 16 showed abnormal renal function. Forty eight patients received kidneys from mother, among them 20 showed normal renal function, and 28 showed abnormal renal function. There was siOgnificant difference in renal function between transplanted kidneys from father or mother(χ2 -6.649, P 0. 05 ). PRA detection showed positive result in 3 of 42 recipients with normal renal function group; PRA detection showed positive result in 12 of 44 recipients with abnormal renal function group, and there was no significant difference between these two groups( χ2 -4.73 , P 0.05).42例肾功能正常的肾移植受者3例PRA阳性,44例肾功能不正常患者12例PRA阳性,两者间有显著性差异(χ2=4.73,P<0.05).
