随着我国高校大学英语课程改革的深入,ESP 将成为英语教学的重要组成部分,大学英语教师面临职业挑战。通过在我国西部5所普通高校大学英语教师中进行问卷调查和对6名开设 ESP 课程的大学英语教师进行半结构式访谈,分析大学英语教师讲授 ESP 课程的意愿及原因、困难及困惑,提出解决问题的建议。%With further reforming of college English in China,ESP becomes an important part of the course and most of college English teachers are facing career challenges.Based on the questionnaire conducted in 5 universities in western China and the semi-structured interview among 6 ESP teachers, this paper presented the willingness and the implied reasons of traditional college English teachers to give ESP classes,probed into the difficulties and bewilderment they faced in ESP teaching,and pro-posed some suggestions.
