英汉语空间范畴的语言表征及空间隐喻研究

摘要

Spatial concepts are universal concepts, and there are spatial categories and spatial conceptual systems in both English and Chinese. There are expressions denoting such concepts as spatial orientations, spatial relations, spatial dimensions and spatial motions in both English and Chinese. Although there are minor differences in the way of conceptualizing in the two languages, spatial words are mapped into such domains as perception, amounts, forces, time, evaluations, age, relations and attitudes, states and degrees. This seems to prove that spatial cognition is the basic means of cognition for both English and Chinese speakers.%空间概念是各种语言中普遍存在的概念，英、汉语中都有空间范畴和空间概念系统。英、汉语空间范畴中都有空间方位词语、空间关系词语、空间量度词语和空间位移词语。虽然两种语言使用者在具体的空间认知过程中有所差异，但是英、汉语中空间隐喻都由空间域向感知域、数量域、力量域、时间域、评价域、年龄域、关系和态度域、状态域和程度域映射，这说明：对于英、汉语使用者而言，空间认知都是最基本的认知方式。
