The Known World written by American writer Edward P Jones is another novel about slavery winning Pulitzer Prize , following Toni Morrison′s Beloved. In the novel , the home space , on the background of the southern plantation , was in the shadow of division and“returning alienation” before the civil war .Although in the“the third space”, the marginal people have constructed the diversified and comprehensive home image , Jones′s opening and blurred ending is still a continuation of the reflections on the space anxiety as well as its implication and metaphor of productive and social relations .%美国作家爱德华· P·琼斯的《已知世界》是继托尼·莫里森的《宠儿》之后又一部获得普利策奖的蓄奴题材小说。
