高功率单管半导体激光器光纤耦合技术

         

摘要

The rapid development of high power semiconductor laser technology has achieved a major breakthrough in performance unit device. But the shortcomings of the beam quality lead to be difficulty to obtain high output power. The fast and slow axes of collimating lasers are directly coupled into the fiber. It can not only avoid the use of com-plex optical systems but also obtain higher output power. Four laser diodes beam at 980nm, were coupled into a core diameter of 200μm, numerical aperture (NA) 0.22 fiber via spatial combination. The fiber coupling output power is 3.41W at current 2A,and the system efficiency is 51.7%.%高功率半导体激光技术的快速发展使得单元器件性能实现了重大突破,但在光束质量上仍存在较大的缺陷,难以同时得到较高的输出功率和亮度。探索将激光器快慢轴分别准直后直接耦合进入光纤,既可以避免使用到复杂光学系统又可以获得较高的输出功率。实验选取四只工作电流为2A,输出功率分别为1.636W、1.662W、1.659W、1.643W的980nm的单管半导体激光器作为光源,通过空间合束技术耦合进芯径200μm、数值孔径0.22的光纤中,输出功率3.41W,光纤耦合效率为51.7%。
