中国忠义意识在美国华裔文学中的表现——赵健秀作品分析

摘要

Writings of Zhao Jianxiu, a Chinese-American author, are almost based on the Chinese mythological figure Guanyu.Although Guan has symbolized loyalty in Chinese traditional culture since ancient times, Zhao, confined to his then identity and status in America, rewrote his loyal orientation in an innovative way, finally leading to a reformed version of Chinese loyalty in Chinese-American literature.This paper centers on an analysis of the social background in which the image of Guanyu was recreated by the Chinese-American writer and of the Guanyu complex by male Chinese Americans.It is aimed to explore its influence and reform on Chinese-American literature.%美国华裔作家赵健秀的作品,几乎离不开中国神话人物——关羽.在中国传统文化中,关羽一直以来都是忠义的象征,但是基于华裔男作家当时在美国的身份和地位,赵健秀在表现关羽忠义意识时进行了创新,从而实现了中国忠义意识在美国华裔文学中的改良.本文分析了美国华裔作家对关羽意象使用的社会背景,以及华裔男性心中深深的关羽情结,探讨关羽意象体现的忠义意识在美国华裔文学中的表现和改良.
