Objective:To investigate the curative effects between minocycline hydrochloride ointment and iodine glycerin in the treatment of chronic periodontitis and influence on periodontal parameters, and provide the basis in treating chronic periodontitis. Methods:A total of 82 teeth in 70 patients with chronic periodontitis were divided into the observation group and control group(41 teeth each group) . Two groups were treated with conventional supragingival scaling and subgingival scaling. The observation group and control group were additionally treated with injecting minocycline hydrochloride ointment and iodine glycerin into periodontal pocket, respectively. The periodontal parameter,clinical effect and adverse reaction between two groups were compared after treatment. Results:Compared before treatment,the periodontal parameters in two groups were significantly improved after treatment,and the improvement of which in observation group was better than that in control group(P0.05).The total effective rate in observation group(95.12%) was significantly higher than that in control group(73.13%)(P 0.05).观察组总有效率为95.12%,明显高于对照组的73.13%(P<0.01).结论:盐酸米诺环素软膏和碘甘油均可以有效治疗慢性牙周炎,但盐酸米诺环素对牙周炎症的改善作用更为显著,值得临床推广.
