[Objective]The research aimed to study the development features of Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk. root under different planting density.[Method]Indices such as depth, range, numbers, surface-area, dry weight, diameter and area ratio of phloem and xylem of root of S. divaricata (Turcz.) Schisck. planted in different planting density were determined to study the relationship between root morphology and yield as well as quality,and to determine the best planting density.[Result]The results showed that S. divaricata(Turcz.) Schischk. had fresh weight of 8.04 g,dry weight of 2.18 g,and highest drying rate of 27.06%, higher root surface-area, depth, range, numbers , highest area ratio of phloem and xylem in root when the planting spacing was 7 cm×30 cm.[Conclusion]The general comparison showed that the planting spacing of 7 cm×30 cm was the best planting density of S. divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk..%[目的] 研究不同种植密度条件下防风的根系发育特征.[方法] 测定不同种植密度条件下防风的根系深度、根幅、根条数、根系总表面积、根干重、根直径、根皮部和韧皮部与木质部的比值等指标,研究防风的根系形态及产量、品质的关系,最终确定最佳栽培密度.[结果] 结果表明:在栽培的株行距为7 cm×30 cm时,防风的鲜重为8.04 g,干重为2.18 g,折干率为27.06%,为不同处理中最高,且有较大的根系总表面积及较多的根条数与适合的根幅、根系深度,有最大的根皮部和韧皮部与木质部的比值,产量和品质最佳.[结论] 综合比较发现防风最佳的栽培密度为株行距7 cm×30 cm.
