%After WWII, the British government tries to slow down Japanese economic growth, aiming at preventing Japan intervening in Southeast Asia. Yet, in the mid and late of 1960s, as Japanese economy had been growing rapidly and national strength more solid, Britain started to urge Japan share its burden of Southeast Asia. While on the other hand, Japan urged Britain to preserve its military forces in this region.
