Objective To explore the effect of Neuman system model on anxiety and depression of patients with gastrointestinal carcinomas. Methods A total of 340 patients with gastrointestinal carcinomas were timely divided in-to the observation group (170 cases) and the control group (170 cases).The control group was treated by routine health ed-ucation and the observation group was treated by Neuman system model. Average scores of SAS and SDS, incidence of anxiety and depression were compared between the two groups. Results Scores of SAS and SDS after intervention were significantly lower than that before intervention in the observation group [(41.20±8.86) vs (48.24±10.12), (40.66±9.12) vs (48.32±10.22), P<0.01)]. After intervention, scores of SAS and SDS of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group [(41.20±8.86) vs (48.30±10.16), (40.66±9.12) vs (48.18±10.10), P<0.01]. Incidences of anxiety and depression after intervention were significantly lower than those before intervention in the observation group (14.86%vs 38.86%, 14.29%vs 39.43%, P<0.01). After intervention, incidence of anxiety and depression of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (14.86% vs 30.59%,14.29% vs 32.94%, P<0.01). Conclusion Neuman system model can release the negative emotions (anxiety and depression) of patients with gastrointestinal carcinomas.%目的：探讨纽曼系统模式对胃肠道恶性肿瘤患者焦虑、抑郁情绪的影响。方法将340例胃肠道恶性肿瘤患者随机分为干预组(170例)和对照组(170例)。对照组采用常规的护理模式，干预组采用纽曼系统模式进行护理。比较两组抑郁自评量表(SDS)和焦虑自评量表(SAS)平均评分及干预前后焦虑、抑郁发生率。结果干预组干预后SDS、SAS评分明显低于干预前[分别为(41.20±8.86)分 vs (48.24±10.12)分、(40.66±9.12)分vs (48.32±10.22)分]，干预后干预组的SDS、SAS评分明显低于对照组[分别为(41.20±8.86)分vs (45.30±10.16)分、(40.66±9.12)分vs (45.18±10.10)分]，差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01)。干预组干预后焦虑、抑郁发生率明显低于本组干预前(分别为14.86%对38.86%，14.29%对39.43%)和对照组干预后(分别为14.86%对30.59%，14.29%对32.94%)，差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论纽曼系统护理模式可有效缓解胃肠道恶性肿瘤患者的焦虑、抑郁发生率。
