Objective To investigate the arsenic loading status in children′s body by detecting urine arsenic and urine creatinine among 172 in-school children in a mental mine area in Guangxi .Methods According to Standard for Identification of Area of Chronic Arsenic Poisoning Caused by Environment Arsenic Pollution (WS/T18-1999),and Guangxi′s standard for arsenic poisoning criterion (0.24 mg/L) ,we collected 24-hours random urine samples of children in one class from each grade of grades four ,five,six,then detected the urine arsenic levels of the samples with fluorescence spectrometry.Results The average and median of urine arsenic levels in children′s body in Guangxi ranked the middle level of what was reported in the rest of our country;No children with superstadard urine arsenic were found .Conclusion The environment of some mental mine areas in Guangxi is suffering arsenic pollution because of industry development ,which leads to the increased arsenic loading in children′s body in such kind of area ,but the urine arsenic level in children′s body is lower than that in other metal mine areas in Guangxi .We should conduct a continual inspection on children′s mental burden in mental mine area and evaluate health risks caused by environmental pollution in time ,which might provide some references for regional environmental protection agency and public health care department .%目的:对某金属矿区所在镇172例在校儿童进行尿砷、尿肌酐测定并对结果进行分析,以了解儿童体内类金属砷的负荷状况。方法按照《环境砷污染致居民慢性砷中毒病区判定标准》( WS/T183-1999)砷中毒参考广西界限水平0.24 mg/L,在该学校4、5、6年级随机各抽取一个班级进行整群抽样调查,收集24 h随机尿,采用原子荧光光度计法检测尿砷水平。结果该金属矿区儿童体内尿砷平均值及中位数水平,在国内所报告的省、市中,位于中等的水平;未发现儿童尿砷超标对象。结论广西该金属矿开采地区受工业重金属引起的砷环境污染,导致儿童人群体内出现了一定的砷负荷增大现象,与我区其他重金属开采地区比较,儿童体内砷水平在较低水平;应持续跟踪金属矿区企业项目建设运行后的周边居民儿童群体体内重金属状况,及时了解环境污染可能造成的健康风险,为区域环保、卫生部门提供决策依据。
