论述了数字地图时代中小比例尺地图编制出版的基本过程,简要介绍了上一代中小比例尺地形图的编制方法,从出版周期、图面效果和地图现势性等方面对比分析了现代和传统地图编制出版中小比例尺地图的不同,推测未来的地图将向实用性更强、制作和使用更方便的方向发展。%This paper discusses the basic processes of medium and small scale maps compilation and publication in digital map era,briefly introduces the compilation method of the previous generation of small and medium scale terrain map,analyzes the differences between modern and traditional map compilation and publication of medium and small scale maps from the point of view publication cycle,the effect of drawing and keeping the maps up-to date,and predicts that the map of the future will be more practical,easier to produce and more convenient to use.
