On English Translation Methods of Chinese Allusive Idioms

摘要

Derived from historical events,fables,myths,legends,proverbs,Chinese allusive idioms are rich in national sense and cultural characteristics.This paper mainly discusses the translation methods of Chinese allusive idioms,as well as various factors affecting translation.By analyzing similarities and differences between English and Chinese allusive idioms,the translation strategies for different Chinese allusive idioms will also be explored and summarized.
