This paper studies the relationship of the government R&D input, market competition and enterprise independence innovation by using the panel data of manufacturing industry.The empirical result shows that: (1) there are an inverted-U relationship between the market competition and the firm level independence innovation; (2) the government R&D input can significantly promote independence innovation.When the market competition exceeds the top critical value in inverted U-shape, the role of government R&D input in promoting of the enterprise innovation will decline.More input, the effect will decline more quickly; (3) In any degree of market competition, the science policy of Chinese government R&D input can promote the independent innovation of China’s manufacturing enterprises.%本文基于中国制造业行业企业层面的面板数据,对我国政府R&D投入、市场竞争和企业自主创新之间的关系进行了实证研究.结论显示:(1)市场竞争与我国企业自主创新之间存在倒U字形关系:(2)我国政府科技R&D投入政策可以显著促进企业自主创新,但当市场竞争水平超过倒U字形顶部的临界值时,政府科技R&D投入政策在促进企业创新中的作用将不断下降,随着补贴强度加大,下降速度也越快.(3)在任意市场竞争程度下,我国政府科技R&D投入政策总能够促进我国制造业企业自主创新.
