Under the different conditions of operation, experimental research was studied for the performance of mechanical face seal with typical deep grooves. The influence of the shape and parameters of grooves to sealing performance is quantitatively analyzed. The experimental study show that the performance of the three kinds of deep grooves is consistent in terms of variation trend. With the increase of pressure of the medium, the coefficient of friction of the faces grow smaller. The circular grooves enjoy the minimum coefficient of friction, but its leakage rate is relatively large. The study also verifies that the theory of deep groove mechanical seal is suitable for the high pressure and low speed conditions.%对几种端面开有典型深槽的流体动压式机械密封在不同工况下的运行性能进行试验对比研究.研究表明,圆弧槽与其他2种不同参数的直线槽性能变化趋势一致,随着介质压力的增大,端面摩擦系数均减小.圆弧槽的摩擦系数相对最小,但其泄漏量较大.试验也验证了此类密封适用于高压转速较低的工况.
