The new method of parameter extractionwas proved by using the simulation software to study the consistency of physical model and equivalent circuit model. Theleaky-wave antenna object of composite right/left-handed transmission linewas designed and made referring to the new equivalent model.Sparameters of the antenna were measuredbythenetwork analyzer. Results show,thebeam direction of themicrostrip leaky-wave antennawithright/left-handed transmission linecan changewith frequency change,the boundednessof traditionalleaky-wave antenna onlyscan the first half of the spaceis changedandthe scan scopeexpandstothe whole space. Besides, the energy in each beam direction is more uniform. Its size decreases by about 50% compared with traditional leaky-wave antenna.
