The chairman of modern China Mao Zedong has elaborated his view concerning culture and art in the Talk To Musicians，in which he proposed some questions on the current situation and specify the development directions of the music art and the social culture in the period of socialist construction from three relationships：the sino - Western relations，the ancient and modern relations and the elegant and vulgar relations which mean the relationship between the classical and the popular.With the integration of economic，social and cultural development in the contemporary era of knowledge economy，the cultural and creative industries in China are in the ascendant.In the process of deepening the cultural system reform，we learn careful about Mao Zedong's thoughts regarding culture and art，which play an important role in promoting the development of cultural industries with Chinese characteristics.This paper explores the influence of Mao Zedong's cultural and artistic thoughts on the development of cultural industry from the perspective of the cultural industry.
