SURFACE PROPERTIES OF Ba-W AND SCANDATE CATHODES AFTER ION BOMBARDMENT

The surface charecteristics of Ba-W impregnated cathode and two types of scandate cathodes have been investigated with XPS before and after activating and ion bombaroment. The explanation, for the different behaviours of these cathodes was proposed from the experimental results.
