Objective To observe cognitive function and quality of life in adults with epilepsy, and explore the relationship between them. Methods 136 cases of adult with epilepsy and 136 normal controls were given the Raven standard Reasoning Test (R'SPM) in order to compare their cognitive function. Quality of Life Rating Scale-31 (QOLIE-31) was adopted to compare quality of life between patients with cognitive dysfunction and without cognitive dysfunction in epilepsy patients. Results Level of cognitive function in adults with epilepsy was significantly lower than the normal controls (P<0.05), while the proportion of cognitive impairment was significantly higher than the control (P<0.05);QOLIE-31 of patients with epilepsyscores were significantly lower than the control (P<0.05), and QOLIE-31 scores of epilepsy patients with was significantly lower than those without cognitive dysfunction (P<0.05). Conclusion Epilepsy can significantly affect adult patients with cognitive function and reduce their quality of life;the clinical should pay attention to the relevant factors and improve the patient's quality of life.% 目的观察成年癫痫患者认知功能与生活质量，并探讨两者间关系。方法对收治的105例成年癫痫患者及105例正常对照进行瑞文标准推理测验（R’SPM）以比较其认知功能。采用生活质量评定量表-31（QOLIE-31）比较有认知功能障碍与无认知功能障碍癫痫患者的生存质量。结果成年癫痫患者的认知功能水平显著低于正常对照（P<0.05），而认知功能障碍的比例显著高于正常对照组（P<0.05）；癫痫患者的QOLIE-31评分显著低于正常对照（P<0.05），而有认知功能障碍癫痫患者的QOLIE-31评分显著低于无认知功能障碍癫痫患者（P<0.05）。结论癫痫能够显著影响成年患者的认知功能并降低其生活质量，临床应重视其相关因素并提高患者的生存质量。
