Integrated navigation system, which is developed on the basis of GPS,integrates the software and hardware of connected systems and equipments during marine seismic operations. With this system, integrated management is accomplished which is consist of equipment control and syn- chronization, graphics and data exchange, operation program control, QC, etc. The differences on function, precision and ef- ficiency are very apparent between GPS and integrated navigation system. By the comparative analysis of results in prac- tices, it is proved that the integrated navigation system has higher performance and efficiency when the marine seismic pros- pecting project is certain large -scale.
