It can be distinguished with P. pseudomallei by motility test and gelalin liquefaction. The former are both positive, the latter both negative. The stain has very strong pathogenic to animal ,the cavies tested died in 12 days. The Strauss test strong positive. Author presumed that it probably produed mallei. The drug-sensitivity tested suggests that its drug-resistance spectum is not wide.
