Objective To explore the ultrasonic appearance of parapharyngeal space invasion and its clinical value. Methods A total of 35 patients with histopathologically proven NPC underwent ultrasonography and MRI. The relation between tumor and the parapharyngeal space was analyzed and the results were compared with each other. Results 35 of the 70 parapharyngeal spaces of patients were invaded on ultrasonography. 37 parapharyngeal spaces were invaded on MRI. The detection rate of ultrasonography had a preferred concordance with MRI. Conclusions Ultrasonography can estimate the extent of parapharyngeal space involvement in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. It plays an comparative role in patients treatment plan.%目的 探讨鼻咽癌侵犯咽旁间隙的超声声像图表现及其临床价值.方法 对35例经活检病理证实为鼻咽癌的患者进行超声检查,观察肿物与咽旁间隙的关系,并与MRI进行对照分析.结果 35例鼻咽癌患者70个咽旁间隙中超声检出受侵犯35个(50％),MRI检出受侵犯37个(52.8％),超声对咽旁间隙受侵犯的检出能力与MRI比较,具有一致性(Kappa值=0.543,P＜0.01).结论 超声能判断出鼻咽部肿物是否侵犯咽旁间隙及受侵范围,可为临床制定治疗方案提供重要信息.
