Objective To Evaluate efficacy of a Chinese herbal remedy (Chushi pells combined with Erjing San) in treating external ear eczema. Methods A sample of 140 patients (153 ears) with external ear eczema treated at Beijing Chinese Medicine hospital from March 2015 to May 2016 were randomly selected to be treated with either oral Chu-shi pells and topical Erjing San (both Chinese herbal preparations) (the treatment group, n=70), or cetirizine hydrochloride tablets and mometasone furoate cream (the control group, n=70). Local lesion improvement and recurrence in the two groups were compared at different treatment times. Results At two weeks of treatment, the rate of complete resolution was 53.2%for the treatment group and 47.6%for the control group (P>0.05). The total effectiveness rate for the treat-ment group (85.3%) was slightly higher than that for the control group (70.6%) (P<0.05). The effectiveness rate in treat-ing the exudate type was 92.4% for the treatment group and 72.5% for the control group (P<0.05). The effectiveness rate for treating the non-exudate type was 78.2% for the treatment group and 69.2% for the control group (P>0.05). The recurrence rates for the treatment and control groups was 14.9%and 40%respectively by 3 months follow-up (P<0.05). Conclusions The Chinese herbal remedy is clearly effective in treating external ear eczema, with some advantag-es in recurrence control and safety.%目的 探讨中药除湿丸联合耳净散治疗外耳湿疹的临床疗效.方法 选取2015年3月~2016年5月我院治疗的140例外耳道湿疹患者,随机分为中药治疗组和西药治疗组,每组70例.中药组口服除湿丸和耳净散患处喷敷,西药组口服盐酸西替利嗪片及艾洛松乳膏患处涂敷进行治疗,比较两组患者不同治疗时长的治愈率、有效率和复发率.结果 中药组和西药组治疗2周的治愈率分别为53.2%、47.6%,两组比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=0.796,P=0.372);中药组和西药组治疗2周的有效率分别为85.3%、70.6%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(χ2=6.626,P=0.01).随访3个月,中药组和西药组的复发率分别为14.9%、40.0%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(χ2=9.815,P=0.002).中药组和西药组治疗渗液型的有效率(2周)分别为92.4%和72.5%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(χ2=7.194,P=0.007).中药组和西药组治疗无渗液型(2周)的有效率分别为78.2%和69.2%,两组比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=0.511,P=0.475).结论 用中药除湿丸和耳净散内外合治外耳湿疹的效果显著,中药治疗比西药治疗在控制复发率上有明显优势.
