The secondary structure of four kinds of Calmodulins (CaM), i.e. Brassica Campestris Pollen Calmodulin (CaM-BCP), Bovine Brain Calmodulin (CaM-BB), Earthworm Calcium Binding Protein (CaM-CBP) and Earthworm New Calcium Binding Protein (CaM-NCBP) in thin film were determined through the technique of FT-IR spectroscopic method and curve-fitting. The changes in the secondary structure of Calmodulin upon the addition of Ca2+, Eu3+, Tb3+ and the activity of PDE enzyme were also measured, from which the effect of rare earth ions on the conformation of Calmodulins were discussed.
