Objective: To study the growth of the hand and wrist bones of Kazak children and its rule ofdevelopment, getting scientific evidence for deciding the standard of the skeletal age of childrenand adolescent. Methods: 1 515 Kazak nationality children and adolescents (male 742, female 77,ages ranging from newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 1-20 years) were divided into 23 groups. X-ray films of both hands and wrists were taken and analyzed statistically. Results: The order ofthe normal carpal bone ossification center appearance and epiphyses fusing was obtained. Conclu-sion: The appearance of the ossification centers and fusing of epiphyses of bones of both handsand wrists occur symmetrically at a higher ratio. The appearance of the ossification centers andfusing of the epiphyses in the female occur 1-3 years earlier than in the male.
