In Garze Tibeta n Aut ono mous Prefecture, China''s Sichuan Province, there is a snowcovered postal route which is about 1,208 kilometers in length and around 3,500 meters above sea level. Along this route, envelopes and parcels from all around the world make their way to every nook and cranny of each household it serves. One Khampa man, Chimed Dorjee, has done the job day in and day out for 30 years, his accrued mileage equivalent to having made 35 laps around the earth''s equator.
