The resettlement of over one million people from the impoundment area becomes a crucial problem and tough task for the Three Gorges project (TGP). Through structural questionnaires, deep interviews, inquiries and sampling from resettlement in Chongqing municipality and Jiangjin city, the authors in this paper analyzed the typical social problems, such as how to make resettlers to be resettled down, poverty and getting rich, and requirements for resettlement publicity and resettlement work, awareness of identification and education of resettlement, etc.
