Biotechnology Rewrites Chemical Fiber Genes Bio-based Fiber Reduces Oil Dependence

Bio-based fiber, though emerged a little late in China, is enjoying a relatively rapid development, since currently such bio-based fibers as PTT, alginate, PLA, and PHA have make breakthroughs in key technologies. Bio-based fiber, an important part of biomass fibers, is encouraged by the national policy to develop further to conform to the trend of the industry.
