Objective To investigate the curative effect of minocycline hydrochloride ointment and iodine glycerin in the treatment of chronic periodontitis and their influence on systemic inflammatory condition. Methods A total of 94 teeth in 80 patients with chronic periodontitis were divided into two groups by their admission order, and each group contained 47 teeth. Both groups received basic treatment by conventional supragingival scaling and subgingival scaling. The research group received adjuvant therapy by injection of minocycline hydrochloride ointment into periodontal pocket, and the control group received injection of iodine glycerin into periodontal pocket. After treatment, comparisons were made on curative effects, periodontal index, and systemic inflammation factor level between the two groups. Results The research group had the total effective rate as 95.75%, which was higher than 78.7%of the control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). Periodontal indexes were improved in research group after treatment, and those were better than the control group. The difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). The research group had obviously reduced systemic inflammation factor C-reactive protein (CRP) than that before treatment and the control group (P<0.05), while its interleukin-6 (IL-6) had no remarkable change. Conclusion Minocycline hydrochloride ointment has precise effect in the treatment of chronic periodontitis, and it is worthy of promotion and application.%目的：探讨盐酸米诺环素软膏与碘甘油对慢性牙周炎的治疗疗效以及对患者系统炎症状况的影响。方法80例慢性牙周炎患者共94颗患牙，按入院顺序分为两组，各47颗，两组患者均经常规龈上洁治术及龈下刮治术等基础治疗，研究组采用盐酸米诺环素软膏注入牙周袋内辅助药物治疗，对照组采用同样方法注入碘甘油。治疗结束后比较两组患者治疗疗效、牙周指标及系统炎症因子水平。结果研究组患者治疗总有效率达95.7%，明显高于对照组78.7%，比较差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)；研究组牙周指标较治疗前明显改善，且优于对照组，比较差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)；研究组治疗后的系统炎症因子C反应蛋白(CRP)较治疗前及对照组明显降低(P<0.05)，而白介素-6(IL-6)变化不大。结论盐酸米诺环素软膏治疗慢性牙周炎疗效显著，值得推广应用。
