Objective To explore clinical effect of combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in pediatric cough variant asthma. Methods A total of 54 pediatric cough variant asthma were divided by number odd and even into control group and research group, with 27 cases in each group. The control group received conventional therapy, and research group received combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Comparison were made on symptom score of day and night, cough relief time, clinical effect and recurrence rate. Results The research group had a lower symptom score of day and night, and a shorter cough relief time than control group, and differences had statistical significance (P<0.05).The research group had a higher total effective rate as 92.59% than 66.67% in control group, and a lower recurrence rate as 3.70% than 33.33% in control group, and differences had statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine proves significant clinical effect in pediatric cough variant asthma.%目的：探讨小儿咳嗽变异性哮喘实施中西医结合治疗的临床效果。方法54例咳嗽变异性哮喘患儿，通过单双号分组的方式分为对照组与研究组，各27例。对照组给予常规治疗，研究组实施中西医结合治疗，对比两组患儿的日间、夜间症状积分，咳嗽缓解时间，临床疗效及复发情况。结果研究组日间症状积分与夜间症状积分低于对照组，咳嗽缓解时间短于对照组，差异均具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。研究组总有效率92.59%高于对照组66.67%，复发率3.70%低于对照组33.33%，差异均具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论中西医结合治疗小儿咳嗽变异性哮喘的临床疗效显著。
